Vinings is strategically located adjacent to the Chattahoochee River, one of the most scenic rivers in the southeastern United States. The Vision Plan encompasses environmentally sensible projects and prevents new development in floodplain areas.

The VCCA has joined the Chattahoochee Now group, a non- profit coalition of organizations whose mission is to facilitate and promote the transformation of the Chattahoochee River into a dynamic corridor that offers a balance of preservation, recreation and economic development for our region.
